Ok, so I haven't bene online OR posted in a while. But Hey! time to make a new post with a new character build.... I'm working on a sorceress this time =P
So my objective now is pure defensive, which is quite funny actually.
This build only takes you to level 68 (if you don't use any skill quests to progress the build)
1 point in ice bolt, ice blast, frozen armor. and 20 points into SHIVER ARMOR. that's it for the cold tree.
1 in charged bolt, lightning, chain lightning, telekenesis and teleport. 20 points into ENERGY SHIELD. Lightning tree done.
20 points into WARMTH. Fire tree done. that's the build....
Now, there's certain armor, helm and shield needed for this build tho.
You need 6 socket armor, 6 socket shield, and 3 socket helm
Fill each socket with an ETH rune, which gives 15% mana regen. with the level 20 warmth, you have a total of 483% mana regen.
Energy shield now absorbs 75% damage and shiver armor gives 159% armor bonus, and freezes attackers for 20 seconds. Combine this with LOTS of Vitality and Energy, with a decent Dexterity and Strength and a nice weapon, and you're a walking tank.
So by level 68 you should have 340 points to distribute, personally, I'd go until my Str is 100 and dex is 150, Energy 150 then the rest into Vitality. Anyways, hope you enjoy my build. tanks for reading.

Wow... not even 10 minutes and already I'm writing another build on here.  So I have another great
build for a necromancer... this one is... well... let's say, more fun and less big then the other one.
This build is based around... Drum roll please!...... You guessed it, the clay goelm. Just because it's
the biggest punching bag out there.

So... for the first skill point, amplify damage. then save. at level 6 clay golem, and then ut a skill point
into clay every level there after until level 12.

At level 12 take those other saved skill points and spend one point in Golem Mastery, and one point in
Iron Maiden until all the points are used up. I suggest putting the odd point in Iron Maiden, but that's
just me. ok... so that may have been a bit confusing... but if you're level 16 with 1 in amplify and 4 in
Maiden, with 8 in clay golem and 3 in mastery you should be fine.

Your next 6 skill points should all go to mastery to get it at level 9, making it very effective. This should
leave you at level 22 with a clay golem that has 966 life on normal. now from here, you have a few
options, I suggest going with clay until it hits rank 12 then put some points in Maiden.

Go with Maiden until it hits rank 9, returning 400% damage you can now proceed bouncing points back
and forth between clay golem and golem mastery once those are both rank 20, you have a pretty beefed
up punching bag with 3825 life on normal, 6693 on nightmare, 10518 on hell.

Once you have those two maxed out, start on Maiden a bunch. once that hits level 20 it's sending a
WHOPPING 675% damage back.

Next step! now we make the clay golem even stronger. 20 skill points into blood golem. The with the last
29 skill points, do whatever your heart desires. Myself, I like getting confuse and attract, because it's fun to
watch fallen kill each other =D

Anywhos, that's it for this build. I leave you with a clay golem that has 12 622 life on hell and slows enemies
by 63% for 72 mana and can return 675% damage with a single curse =P

Comment and tell me what ya think everyone! =D

Enjoy!

Another build by me.

Ok, so... there's not much action on the forums here and stuff... anyways, I'm a big Necromancer freak
here and am going to offer up my builds to be critisized (I don't know how to spell... I hope that's right.)

So... the first few levels should be spent on basic skeles I suggest go to level 6 skeles before anything else,
then get clay golem once it's available (only 1 rank in it =P) so by the time you hit level 12 you should have
4 in skele mastery
6 in Raise skele
1 in Clay Golem
then from there, the next 6 lskill points should be put into mage
The next 3 skill points CAN (it's not mandatory right now) be put into amplify damage, weaken, and terror
the reason for this is because once you get Decrepify, it should be your main curse, and you don't really
need it above level 1
then just basically spend skill points where needed into raise skele and mage and mastery until all three are
rank 20 then you might as well go for summon Resist

Once you have those all maxed and everything, it should put you at 86/110 skill points used. Personally,
I like using the last 24 points to crank out a beat face golem xD
so for those last few point, putting the first 5 into Iron Maiden will help with those hard hitters and, for the
Best use of the last few skill points, 11 more skill points into clay golem, and 8 into golem Mastery gives you
a pretty strong clay golem to help with hell guys... he's a pretty good tank for 48 mana.

So all in all when done and at level 99 with all the skill uests done you should end up with a skill tree
somewhere along these lines.

Summons
Skeleton mastery =20
Raise Skeleton =20
Clay Golem = 12
Golem Mastery = 9
Raise Skeleton Mage = 20
Summon Resist = 20

Curses
Amplify Damage = 1
Weaken = 1
Iron Maiden = 5
Terror = 1
Decrepify = 1

with all this said and done, you should end up having 8 skeletons warriors with 559 life each on hell
8 skeleton mages with 283 life each on hell and a clay golem with 3734 life on hell that slows enemies
by 54% and all your summons have 66 to their Resistance. and Finally, with Iron Maiden, the creatures deal
300% damage to themselves =P gotta love it!

Well, that's it for my Summonancer Build, hope you like, please tell me what you think :]

I've been trying for over an hour now. Problem being, I log in, but it can't connect to the realm. When the error comes up, it says it could not connect to the realm. Also it mentons connection errors and to make sure my ports are open. (which they are) any ideas anyone?

The server has been updated to v1.11b

What does this mean for all of us players? It means that we are running the latest patch of the game from Blizzard. Go ahead, enjoy all of the bells and whistles.

Me - I'm happy that we have all of the Runewords available to us now.

No, it shouldn't affect your regular internet at all. Try going back to DHCP - that's where you let the router give you an IP and not setting your own. You might be able to find out some information by just looking at the main page from the router setup.

Hey! It's me Tongue Tyler I'm having a few issues, I followed your instructions but am not able to get it to work. I go to the internet properties, then the TCP/IP Properties, enter my ip in the ip spot, same with the default gateway, and subnet mask. But when I go to enter the DNS server address, my interenet won't work =S Any ideas? I haven't quite figured out how to  change the Ports to 6112-6114 yet, but that shouldn't effect my regular internet tho right?

In order for you to play on the server, you must make sure you have the ports open on your computer and/or your router. Diablo 2 requires ports 6112-6114 to be open in both TCP and UDP modes.
